I have just started playing with loading soundfonts into S1 (nice!) but in doing so I have ended up with a duplicate sf2 file in the instrument list - how can I delete one of the duplicates? Also - does having the instrument in the instrument panel use resources or can I load all of my new soundfonts to have available all the time?  I am using S1 3.1.

Thank you!

Hi Jim,

If you meant from the Studio One File browser tab, it's is just a reflection of your file system so if you have duplicate soundfonts there you can just right click and delete one of them.

To your other question, soundfonts and other musical resources in the Studio One browser are simple listings and will not consume enough resources to matter as relates to Studio One's performance.

Thank you - I'm probably not explaining it very well.  It's not the folder view, rather it's instruments that have been imported into Presence.  I have taken the sf2 file and dragged it into Presence and I have a duplicate I'd like to get rid of to keep the display clean.  A right click only gives me "refresh" and view in explorer.

Thanks for the help.

Thanks for the clarification.

If it's a soundset and you're seeing it listed twice like in your image it could either be that there are two soundsets with similar names (the exact same soundset with the same UUID or ID shouldn't load twice) or it may be that the browser listing is somehow corrupted.  I'd check both things, make sure that you don't have duplicate soundsets in your location paths and also go to the Home browser tab and re-index presets to force Studio One to recreate all of those listings.

If all else fails, go to your Studio One \appdata folder and delete the Studio One.settings file and restart it.   I believe that all of the browser listings and similar are stored and referenced from that xml file.

Thank you.  I don't think this is an issue with S1 - the problem is that I dragged the same soundset into presence twice and S1 took the second instance of the soundset and named it (2) so now I have 2 of the same soundset in the listing.  See the image below.  Thx!

I got it!  It was presets that I wished to remove and I found the answer here: https://forums.presonus.com/viewtopic.php?t=7354&p=37630    This opens the folder where the presets are stored and you can then add/delete/manage them anyway you desire.  Thank you to everyone for your help!  Jim+
