I work with a studio, but mostly from home. whenever I go over there, we save the work to google drive in the expectation that I can go home and continue working There. They use a mac, and I have a PC. When I go home I cant find the files in google drive through Studio One, even though on the mac you can. This is extremely annoying because I would have to download all the files, but then I'd have to reupload them to drive and it may not sync properly. Is there a way to avoid these problems and have a smoother transition into Studio one?

Google Drive is a third party cloud application and if you browse a Google Drive folder in the Studio One file browser you are only looking at another listing of whatever is on your hard drive in that folder.  Except for perhaps a case where there is a file type being used that the Windows version isn't setup to list in the browser, it would not have anything at all to do with Studio One.

Just to check, go to Options > Location > Advanced and click the "File Types" tab to see if the file format that is being synced through Google drive that shows on Mac but not on PC is listed there as one of the browser file types.  If the synced file is in your local Google drive folder on the PC it should also list in the Studio One File tab in the browser.
