There is no Tape In channel in the UC surface app on my mac and ipad.

Why would they not have a channel strip for an input?

The Tape In channel shows up on my iphone app.

However when I play music through the Tape In,  The signal does not show up on my Iphone app and I cannot adjust the level on my Iphone.

The signal from the Tape In channel shows up in the Return A channel on my mac and ipad.

There is no Return A on my Iphone app.

Please help

Regards

Trent

The TapeIn stereo channel is situated between the Talback channel and the DigRet stereo channel on the very right of UC Surface (after channel 32 and the four FX returns). There are no other returns any more, as you will see after updating UC Surface on your devices. Here you find the "latest & greatest": http://www.presonus.com/support/downloads/StudioLive-RM16AI - or have a look at your PreSonus account. Please also check if your mixer needs a firmware update. It may be that the iPhone app is a little outdated. There will be a new version coming this year.

I'm having the same issue with the newest version of Surface. I have the 4 FX channels, return A, return B and talk back at the far side of my mixer. I have no DigRet as mentioned in the other response. I just finished upgrading to the latest version of Surface on my PC and iPad, neither have the Tape In channel.
