Hi,

What you posted above is not enough information to determine if your computer is the issue here or not. I do believe however, that you are running into processing problems. Remember, that the specs say a MINIMUM of 2 GB of ram and a suggested at LEAST 4 Gb of ram (I use 16 Gb) and there is also a minimum processor spec (intel listed here only) Core 2 duo and i3 processor. SO, what I think is happening is your computer is not responding well to digital audio recording.

Now, that doesn't mean your up a creek necessarily... In the Knowledge base

http://support.presonus.com/hc/en-us

There you will find hardware and software tips and tricks that can maybe help.

You may be able to get by with optimizing your computer for digital audio, here's one tutorial I found:

https://support.focusrite.com/hc/en-gb/articles/207355205-Optimising-your-PC-for-Audio-on-Windows-10

On the bottom of the Studio One window when you have a  song open is a CPU monitor... what is that showing? If it's in the red when your recording then the above is indeed the case...

Now there can also be issues with the Storage of the audio recorded. It is suggested that you use an external HD for the recorded product. Further a 7200 RPM drive is suggested.

All these things and more can cause problems ...I recommend highly the optimization, and reading the Knowledge base. There are TONS of videos (many in your My Presonus account) on Youtube, and places like the "Home Studio Trainer"
