Question

I can see that I'm recording something through the track, but I cannot hear it WHILE I play it. I can hear it if I play back what I just recorded, but not while I recorded it. I want to hear it while I record it, what am I doing wrong?

That’s a broad question. Do you have monitoring turned on in the track you are recording? How is your output device configured? Are your levels set high enough to allow the output to be heard?
