From a customer we typically get a report similar to the following when trying to install the AudioBox 1.3VSL software with iOne or iTwo.

After downloading Audiobox on Windows, I tried opening it. it gave me a notice that it would have to update the firmware, but when I click to have it updated, it starts, then almost immediately stops saying there was a problem with updating the firmware. I have uninstalled and tried reinstalling the program several times to no avail.

We have resolved these problems with the release of Universal Control 1.8.3 and higher.

Any problems related to firmware update failing which most often occurred on PCs is resolved in the newer release of Universal Control 1.8.3 or higher versions.

This also addresses the issue of if after a firmware update with AudioBox VSL software on a PC (or a Mac) where all the lights on the unit go solid blue. Installing UC 1.8.3 or higher and running a firmware update will correct this.
