Under WASAPI and legacy MME, will 44VSL work as multichannel interface, or only stereo interface?

Hello,  I am considering purchasing the 44VSL interface.  I am wondering if the Audiobox 44VSL interface will work with WASAPI when the host is a 32-bit app running under Windows 7 or 10?   If so, will all 4 ports be recognized under WASAPI?    If yes, then will it be available to the host app as a true 4 port device or would it show up as 2 separate stereo devices?

Also, when using legacy MME (32-bit) can all 4 ports be accessed or will it only show up as 1 stereo MME port?

I assume ASIO is supported for all 4 ports as well, right?

Thanks,

J.

We don't support WASAPI natively. If you see WASAPI, this would be provided as an emulated driver wrapped around the WDM driver from inside the application. The interface will show up as multiple stereo pairs.

We do support WDM, however depending on your application the I/O may show up differently.

For example in Sonar and N-Track Studio, you'll see the Stereo Pair with a + sign to open up the pair and assign L and R

It should look something like this:

+ AudioBox 44VSL 1/2

   | _ AudioBox 44VSL 1 - LEFT

   |_ AudioBox 44VSL 2 - RIGHT

+ AudioBox 44VSL 3/4

   | _ AudioBox 44VSL 3 - LEFT

   | _ AudioBox 44VSL 4 - RIGHT

Yes, ASIO is supported for all 4 Ports. You can assign Stereo or Mono freely under the Audio I/O Setup window in your DAW.
