In the cascade systems, a 32.4.2ai with a 16.4.2ai (slave) gives 6 global aux sends with 8 additional local sends.

Please explain what the global and local sends are.

Also confirm if that means the auxes (also confirm for all other outputs) on the slave will not output an audio signal should it be connected to a monitor.

Thank you

Have a look at the Knowledge Base (http://support.presonus.com/hc/en-us/categories/201264223-StudioLive-Mixer-Family) and search for "cascading". You will find this article "StudioLive Ai Mixers - Cascading StudioLive Ai mixers and Troubleshooting" (http://support.presonus.com/hc/en-us/articles/210048283-StudioLive-Ai-Mixers-Cascading-StudioLive-Ai-mixers-and-Troubleshooting), which explains everything about cascading SL AI-mixers.

The number of "Global Aux" is determined by the smallest mixer, which is the SL 16.4.2AI with its 6 aux outs. These 6 aux mixes get merged with the (I think) first 6 aux mixes of the SL 31.4.2AI. The "local sends" are the 8 aux mixes of the master and all 14 are available on the back of the SL 32.4.2AI. The 6 aux outs of the SL 16.4.2AI should be muted, when the boards are cascaded. Just try what happens... ;-)
