I have a Presonus 16.0.2 board that i purchased a while ago for live shows.  I love the ******.  I'd like to have the ability to record easily without buying out of date technology (like a computer with a firewire port.)

Looking at a Mac Mini (https://www.apple.com/mac-mini/features/), which features a Thunderbolt 2 port.  If a Thunderbolt2 -> Firewire adapter is used, would I run into any issues with connectivity or sound when using this board with Studio One / .  Goal would also be to hook up my ipad for live mixing as well. I have seen posts that claim that Apple approved Thunderbolt to Firewire adapters should be a-ok, but wondering if any of that has changed since the Thunderbolt 2 has come out.

Cheers

Stefan

Yes your StudioLive 16.0.2 can connect to the Mac Mini linked above, using the Thunderbolt 2 port.

Ensure to use a Bilingual S800 to S400 FireWire cable and Apple Approved Thunderbolt to Firewire adapter.

You will also want to ensure you have the latest drivers installed for the StudioLive 16.0.2.
