Hello. I bought the Focusrite Scarlett 2i2. I hooked it up and downloaded the drivers. Im using Studio One 3. As soon as I open up a song, my CPU performance meter in the bottom left hand corner is bouncing up and down maxing out, clipping red. I try to listen to playback and there is interference matching the meter. I uninstalled, reinstalled just to make sure, and still happens. I hooked my AudioBox USB back up and everything is fine. Just curious if anyone else has come across this? Any ideas on whats wrong? I checked configurations but as far as I can tell, everything is as should be, however, Im by no means a computer person. Any and all help and opinions are greatly appreciated. I really dont want to return the Focusrite.......would rather figure this out....... Seems like a pretty cool interface. The only reason I was replacing the AudioBox is that my guitars clip even with the gain all the way off. A number of people have told me this is a common problem with AudioBox.

Please try going into Studio One>Options>Audio Setup>Processing and set your Dropout Protection to "Maximum."  You may also want to try adjusting your Device Block Size.  Try setting the Device Block Size lower than 512.  PreSonus has been seeing some issues come in with high CPU usage when using the Focusrite interfaces.  This issue has been logged internally for tracking.  You may want to reach out to Focusrite as well.  They may have an update available that resolves the issue or know of a possible workaround.
