Question

Hi,

Does the BlueTube have stereo inputs? I mainly want to record guitars, bass and synths through it but I'm frequently using stereo effects pedal and I would like to record in stereo.

So basically to record a (for instance) guitar in stereo I just need a 2 x mono stereo jacks->XLR adapter, right? Or do I need left in one channel and right in the other? Also, I don't need a DI box if I'm using the Bluetube, right?

The BlueTube DP is a Dual Path, not necessarily stereo device. Dual Path = 2x Mono Input Preamps in the same box each with their own input and output. A true stereo would have some blending between the two.

What you want to do is to record through one channel of the BlueTube and out into your audio interface or recording system. In the mix is where you will assign pan and effects to your mono track and there you can send it into another bus which will create the stereo effect that you're looking for.

As you're new at this, recording your source is one aspect, working with the mix is the another.

If the output of your guitar has a low impedance or is unusually quiet (depends on the pickups) you may or may not need a DI before going into the BlueTube. This is entirely dependent on the source signal output.
