I have a iConnectivity iConnect Midi 4 midi interface, and would like to plug my Faderport 8 into the Midi 4'a USB port, but controllers plugged into that port have to be class compliant.  As the Faderport 8 uses a driver, I assume it is not class compliant.  Anyone know?

The FaderPort 8 is a class compliant MIDI over USB device that is externally powered for the motorized faders and backlit screens. The installation of Universal Control is only needed to manage firmware updates. You can in fact uninstall Universal Control and set it up with your DAW directly whether it be with Studio One or has a HUI device with another DAW, or customize the experience in the DAW of your choice, the MIDI Implementation is detailed in the FaderPort 8 User Manual available on the downloads page.
