i am having some strange issues as well but as far as the duplicate sometimes it has to do with the time signature in the event vs the time signature in the carriage, or the loop being an odd length your copying or section or whatever it may be, I usually easily rectify this by moving the event simply to there i want and then try if its repeated again copying two together sometimes this makes up the difference and then puts everything back in time, or I will simply copy and paste the event into the proper place paying attention to the snap option, as sometimes I want it and sometimes not, The midi issue I am having also but never had a complete crash after copying midi sveral times i get a studder and whatever vsti I set to a midi track after that stay only in voice #1 or its initialized state and will not adjust forcing me to abandon the project because it saves that way and will not correct on reload I am not using midi files because of this
