To reproduce:

  1. Put some plugins on a track
  2. Convert it to Rendered Audio
  3. Duplicate it (complete)
  4. Notice the new track has no "Transform to Realtime Audio" button

I think the duplicated track should be identical as its source i.e.: it should remain a Rendered Audio that you can convert back to Realtime Audio if you need to tweak the sound further.

The current behavior forces the user to convert back to realtime audio before duplicating in order to keep the plugins. Since there is no visual cue on which tracks are rendered, this is prone to mistakes. Such a mistake might mean you completely remove the original tracks/plugins if you're not careful, and you'll only discover it much later.

If anyone wants the current behavior (duplicate a printed version), the "export stems" function is more appropriate.
