Question

I have Studio one Artist 3.5 and i have been using a Keystation Mini 32 for 2 days now.

recently however,the first take is fine but anytime i record an event using the Keystation the next take connects as if its one single take (this makes editing at certain sections very difficult).

my question is how can i make the midi record events in sections and not have it link everything into one big take?

mind you i feel the answer is very simple like i may have miss-clicked somewhere and activated some feature.

I am very new at this so my apologies if the question is easy or has been asked before

You will want to click the icon of the wrench in the transport bar to the left of the metronome.  This will open the record panel.  You can choose to record takes and then record takes to layers.
