Sample Accurate Automation

Currently in studio one if I took some white noise and automate a low pass filter with square wave automation, the filter wouldn't open and close instantly. Instead you get a softened or ramping opening/closing effect.

As an Example in the photo below I've square automated a low pass filter on some white noise. It has the effect of silencing the noise when its closed.

As you look at the photo below the Orange Lane represents studio one's current Automation Handling. Notice how the waveform ramps up, instead of cutting in/out immediately as the automation appears above it.

The desired behavior that I would love to see implemented is shown in the Pink Region beneath it.

Now we know that Sample Accurate Automation is CPU intensive, and the current way that studio one handles automation is musical and intuitive the majority of the time. We like the smoothed automation effect and it's convenient in many applications, and yet there are creatively dramatic situations we frequently desire sample accurate automation.

I'm requesting that Sample Accurate Automation be configurable on a per-automation-lane basis, so that we can have sample accurate automation on only the automation parameters we desire.

With all the game changing improvements Presonus have made to this DAW, I can't wait till they implement it because after Zero Latency monitoring, I know anything is possible.
