Dear folks,

Thank you for sending me the studio one 3 manual. I am seriously contemplating purchaching this awesome piece of DAW! There is one thing that I am missing in your manual. Here is the scenario:

Let's assume I have a drum loop on audio track number 1.

I now want to create a MIDI track only. Let's call this track 2.

I now want to place an audio effect like, Shaperbox from Cableguys on track 1.

On track 2 I have my MIDI track and I have the Qwerty keyboard there, with which I want to send MIDI commands to Shaperbox.

Here comes my question:

How do you create a MIDI only track in Studio One? This is very easy in Cubase? And how do I route

the MDI commands to track number 1 to control Shaperbox?

I can not find anything on this in your manual?

Very respectfully,

peter tsai

1)  A midi track uses an Instrument track, that is what it is called in Studio One,,
Just click Add Track, Choose Instrument Track,,

2) I think you want to control the Effect using a device, which uses midi,,,
If so, you do not need an instrument track to do this,,
You can control the Effect parameters using midi, by using the Midi Learn function.
