I filed a support request for assistance I'm having with my Mac OS X system and my audio interface and they asked me to provide a System Profile. What is this and why do I need to send them to them?

Chances are you're reading this because you've asked the PreSonus Tech Support group for assistance with an issue you're having on your Mac OS X computer. To help the support team it's helpful for them to take a look at what hardware and software drivers are installed on your system. To do this they will ask you to send them System Profile or SPX file.

SPX Files can only be opened on Mac OS X, they cannot be opened on a Windows system.

The System Profile is most helpful when your PreSonus hardware is connected to your Mac while you're creating the profile -- so be sure to do that.

OS X 10.7 Lion, 10.8 Mountain Lion, 10.9 Mavericks, 10.10 Yosemite

For OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard or Earlier
