Question

Hello everyone - I have been using a Studiolive RM32R (series III rack mount) for a few weeks and love it... works very well controlling it through UC Surface on my ipad. I just purchased a Studiolive 32 Series III to complete my studio setup (32R in the live room, and console in control room), and am attempting control the 32R from the console. I have a direct Cat5e connect between the console and the RM... the console sees the RM and I am able to connect to it successfully (Stagebox mode). I was expecting the console to adopt all the settings, including scribble strips, from the 32R, but that didn't happen. Am I missing a simple step here? The console also does not appear to control the RM whatsoever... Any advice would be very much appreciated!

Answering my own question - Even though I've saved mix/routing/scribble/preamp/etc settings on the 32R, these do not get automatically picked up the first time you link the Studiolive 32 Series III to it. I had to reset all the settings from the console. Also - putting the console in stage box mode does not automatically set all the channels to "network" - they stick to "mixer", which i had not noticed. As soon as I set channels on "network" for all 32 channels - presto - working as advertised. So far, so good. Amazing technology.
