Hi

I am thinking about buying an iPad and stylus pen and start writing music with the help of Notion 6.

But for me an iPad Pro and the Apple Pencil is too expensive. So i am wondering if you can recommend a next best alternative (ipad an stylus) to buy that is compatible with the Notion 6 software?

My iPad Air works great (as did a previous iPad 4).

And you don't need an expensive stylus. But get one with a 'fine' point on it (ie: Adonit Jot, etc.)

With the last update, I think the handwriting feature is really pretty amazing for what it is.

Not absolutely perfect, but pretty fantastic all the same.

The 6th generation iPad supports the Apple Pencil. You don't have to go to the iPad Pro.
