I built this PC specifically as an audio production workstation, and then bought (after MUCH persuasion) Studio One 3 in lieu of either Sonar, Reason, or Komplete Kontrol with the 61-key midi keyboard and their software etc. I used Cakewalk Pro Audio 9 for many years with no such mic input issues, or mouse-click problems (constantly) or somehow getting echos on every midi instrument and channel even when only a single midi instrument actually had effects applied to it. Looks like a slew of great, desirable features for a clumsy and ill-informed oaf like me, but my intentions were all in good faith. I just wanted to be able to build a modest but long-term home studio to write and record both midi as well as audio instruments and vocals as quickly and easily as possible. I spend so ****** much time ******** with setting up songs that I get frustrated and the whole process stops - the absolute opposite of what I invested in all this stuff for.
I find this PreSonus S1-3 to be clumsy, overwhelming, not 'intuitive', and the help guides, online gazillions of questions even more so, and after multiple scourings through lots and lots of the questions and replies, I'm no closer to using this product on any new material at all. Had it now for about 6 months. Oh, I can screw with other files imported into S1-3, but having to switch from Saffire to Windows Audio constantly...geez, I know I'm dumb, but can somebody please lend a little helping hand here? Thank you in advance.
