I recently asked if there was a known issue causing Studio One 3.5.4.45392 to crash, frequently.  I did a clean reinstall of Windows 10 Professional and, while that seems to have cleared up the original issue, I am facing a new (but somewhat similar) issue.  Studio One 3.5.4 locks, forcing me to kill the process in the Task Manager.  Usually, the Studio One process can be found under the APPS section of the Task Manager.  However, once I kill Studio One, I attempt to reopen Studio One, but get an error saying that Studio One is already running.  Confused, I looked at the Task Manager and find that Studio One is now appearing under BACKGROUND PROCESSES and cannot be killed.  Because I cannot kill the background process of Studio One, I have no other option but to reboot the computer.  This happens about 3 or 4 times per day.  Anybody else run into this issue?  Is there a fix?  This problem occurs in both, 64-bit and 32-bit flavors.  System specs are:

CPU:  Intel Core i7-4790K at 4.00 GHz

RAM:  16 GB (15.7 GB usable)

Hard Drive:  2 TB (1.81 TB free)

Connected Devices:  1 USB controller keyboard and 1 Korg MS-20 via USB-MIDI

Hi,

More often than not that's caused by the audio device getting hung up and hanging the application process, so make sure that your audio device driver is up to date.
