I have drum tracks from a previous Capture session I am trying to put on the SD card. I want to play the drum tracks off the SD card and accompany that with live performances, and each time record everything to a new session each time.
I like to multi track record our practices. My drummer can't always show up for practice but we have some good multi-track recordings of the set. So on days when he can't attend, I'd like to be able to playback these recordings and have the rest of the band play along, and end up with a nice multi track session as if he were there.
When I try to do this, in the Edit screen I select the desired tracks to record (the same channels the drum tracks are located on the Capture session), and also make sure the channels on the mixer are set to USB input. I hit record, the button goes red and the time advances and I hear and see the drums tracks coming in. But it records only silence. I have opened up the files and there is no sound.
Can the SD card only record from an analog source? If so, why? I have read section 7 and it mentions nothing about this.
EDIT: I was able to rename and copy files to the SD card from the Capture session, and those did play off the SD card. The only problem is - they don't output via USB. There seems to be no way to do what I thought would be easy. It seems that a) the SD card doesn't record USB inputs, and b) the SD card won't output its track via USB. If anyone has a workaround to this I'd love to hear it.
