Question

I have everything configured for multitrack recording my band live.  I set my song length long enough to record for over an hour to record the entire set since we don't pause between songs.  I've done this before and it works okay, but is this best way or only way to do this?

Sounds fine to us.  There is no perfect or best configuration for those types of things, more just whatever best serves your needs and the situation.
