When connecting a 24R or similar mixer to a StudioLive Series III to be used as a stage box using AVB, is a separate network connection to the control network needed for Universal Control to control both mixers?

Does the AVB carry the control network, is a separate network switch required so that the control network of both mixers can be on the same control network?

In stagebox mode no because you have no control over local mixer functions in stagebox mode.

You can run mixer control over the AVB cable so that a separate switch is not required.

However in Mixer Mode, yes you would need separate cables from each mixer to your switch so you can control each of them from UC.
