The PreSonus StudioLive Rackmount Digital Mixers such as the 24 or 32R would be awesome audio interfaces for a separate control room and live room setup, if there were a control room unit designed for PC/Mac to accompany them.  Thoug 16R could be used in the control room, it doesn't support nearly as many channels via USB as the larger units (less than half).  Meanwhile, buying a second 24R for the control room provides enough USB io, but would be a huge waste of mic preamp inputs and outputs that would never get used.

Ideally Presonus should make a unit just like the Central Station, except that it should have an AVB connection (to the StudioLive Racks) and a high channel USB or Firewire connection to the PC to record from the StudioLive mixer in the other room.  It should also have 2 mic preamp//line/instrument inputs, for simple mono or stereo recording in the control room when needed.
