In Studio One 4 the new pattern event does only provide STEPS for automation data.
However steps are too rough in many cases and don't allow smoth automation of reverb, filters and stuff.

As patterns are just some sort of event I suggest to add the following:

- option to choose between step automation and regular curve automation (the one you can do in "normal" instrument parts)!
this option shall exist for EACH individual automation parameter, please! (steps / curve)

- option to gradually interpolate automation steps (0.0 = discrete steps ...100.0=max. interpolation/smoothness) if you use them

For me having curves instead of steps (option!) would be the more important thing to have.

Thx!

I'd like to see this, especially if the curve (if volume) could also affect repeats, so that you get nice volume ramp on the repeats. Though i'd personally much prefer to be able to edit the velocity of each individual repeat note, like how MOTU BPM handles it. Right now repeats all follow one velocity and sound very static.
