INDEX with key words to make it easier to find information? And a glossary?

Historically, an index helps you to teach yourself as you use it.

There is so much unfamiliar terminology (for new users and people coming from other DAWs).

So many unfamiliar symbols (no explanations and users aren't necessarily scientists who will think to experiment).

An index with key words to search is the optimal solution.

You can easily see what words are used together in a topic because it is uncluttered.  The symbols could be included also.

E.g: Automation (big topic) followed by all of the terms that relate to automation including 'lane'

Click on 'lane' and it takes me to a list of possible matches with the word highlighted so I see quickly if I'm in the right place.

If I don't know what that line on my track is called, I don't know to look for 'lane' using the search bar.

(Oh, and by the way, what's an 'envelope? ' The line doesn't look like an envelope.  Right?)

And the Answers here are a great resource and the forums are wonderful.  But taking time to hunt for information without understanding the vocabulary absorbs too much time.

PLEASE

and Thank you.
