Thunderbolt
USB-C can host up to 8 different types of connections including USB 2.0, 3.0, 3.1, Thunderbolt 3 and a variety of Display Port options.
Please note, not all USB-C enabled computers support Thunderbolt, you have to make sure the computer specifications state explicitly that it supports Thunderbolt in the details. Some systems will have a little lighting bolt next to the port, some do not. You'll have to do your due diligence to make sure the model system you're looking at supports it.
Thunderbolt 3 for the most part is found mostly on Laptop systems. Make sure to check all the different models of the product line you're looking at. Here's a good website that details a good list of known Thunderbolt 3 laptops. However PreSonus has not qualified any of these for audio production, this is not an endorsement of any of these systems.
Using a Thunderbolt 3 to Thunderbolt 2 Adapter, Quantum 1 and Quantum 2 will work with any Thunderbolt 3 enabled computer.
