Hi, I'm using the Audio Box USB interface with a condenser mic (non-USB) that requires phantom power, and a MacBook Air.
My problem is that every time I turn on the phantom power there is a severe amount of buzzing that gets picked up and also put on my recordings. However, if I touch the metal portion of my cable that's connected to the mic the buzzing significantly lessens. Also sometimes if I unplug my laptop the buzzing will lessen as well. From what research I've done I think it's a grounding problem. Does anyone know what's wrong and how to fix it? Or in the meantime, how to edit the white noise from my recordings?
Thanks!
