Hi,

I am a new user to this hardware and software and facing a trouble in recording my instrument, Casio Digital Piano (Celviano - AP 250BN).

I am using an Audio Box 96 with Studio 4 connected to my HP Laptop Windows 7 64 Bit, with the midi cable connected to my Piano.

When I am playing/recording the notes, I am getting very thrash distorted sound of my instrument. I have tried the same with different inputs and output systems, different midi cables and instrument cables.

Seeking your Help & Assistance on the Same.

Thanks,

Kumar

Hi Kumar,

You will want to try increasing your device block size for your Audiobox.  You don't want to go any higher than 512 as you can introduce latency when recording MIDI.  Try setting your block size to 256 or 512.

You might also want to try a sample rate of 44.1 for your song.

Make sure that you are not running a 5400 rpm hard drive on your system.

If you would like PreSonus to have a look at your system, you will want to submit a support ticket from within your my.presonus.com account.  Just use the "Support" tab.
