Question

It would be better (imo) to disconnect the level control on the transport bar from the master fader and instead make it a true monitor volume control independent from the master fader.  A mult of the master output, not being directly connected to the master fader.

When you move that slider the monitor volume would change but the master fader wouldn't also move, and the signal level being rendered from the master bus wouldn't change.
