Is there any way to hear the end of previous take while overdub recording on the same track?

When I want to add recording to existing take on the same track I cannot hear the previous take to cue me in.

I checked play overlaps and unchecked tape style recording etc. What else can be done?

Hello,

click on the setting button in the red cycle. The metronom options will appear.

Activate the preroll and choose how many bars the preroll will be.
