Question

Hi all,

I'd like to create a monitor mix network of EarMix 16M boxes on an isolated AVB network (that will have just one AVB talker, no other sources). The talker will provide a single stream of 16 mono sources at 48kHz. There are at least two boxes I know of that could accept 16 channels @48kHz on two ADAT inputs and send those out as one 16-channel AVB stream. My question is: would EarMix 16M's find and utilize such a stream, even if the source was not a StudioLive Series III box?

If not, what is required to get such a system working?

AVB support for 3rd party products is limited.

Without an Series III mixer, it will not be possible.
