HI, you didn't say what system you are using, but I used to have the same problem with a windows 7 laptop. When it starts up Studio One goes through the process of checking drivers, external devices, plugins etc. If something has changed since the last time it ran (for example, a MIDI device moved from one USB to another) it seems to confuse the program. Even if nothing has changed, it's still crunching a lot of data at start-up. I agree, it's very annoying, but it sounds like a processor problem and as such, short of upgrading your system there's not much you can do. M
