Why so many downvotes?

According to Native Instruments they gave companies like Image Line, Presonus, and others plenty of time to adopt their new protocol when they stopped shoehorning it into Mackie’s MCU format.

It’s not a scandal or anything, IL, Presonus and others had other priorities, why get mad at users who point this out?
