Does Studio One us the new Windows 10 Midi API Library that allows sharing MIDI hardware?

One of the problems with the old API is that unlike on a MAC, you can't share MIDI hardware access. If I load a DAW, I can't load another program that accesses my MIDI hardware unless it has a custom non-Windows MIDI driver.

Now the Windows 10 driver allows sharing access, along with other improvements.

Does Studio One 4 use the new API? Can a programmer or developer clear this up for me?

If not I hope it will in the future!

I want to know about this as well. I assume it doesn't since I can't share Midi input with Ableton or Komplete Kontrol. I don't know whether those have implemented the new API either.

I don't understand why this is still the case in 2021. Surely midi across multiple apps is so important.
