Can I use this device (1824c) as the master to connect to the Presonus 1824 USB as the slave and create 16 inputs, or do they both have to be the USB-C version?

Hello, did you ever find out the answer to your question? We already have an 1824c and can get a 1824 on the cheap and I was wondering the same. Cannot find any info on it. Any insight would be helpful.

No, never received a response. Ended up with a second 1824c instead
