The pool would be nice with midi event support. That would be the most flexible pattern based approach I've seen yet imo.
There's clips and pattern mode, and to my knowledge only clips do both midi and audio which is the only difference I see.
Made a macro to replicate converting arranger stuff to song events like blocks, but I've never seen midi support for any pools yet.

I'm curious about why that is for timeline daws. audio events go into the pool and you can drag and drop everything to musicloops or regular folder in in any timeline daw but it seem the pool is a separate entity only designed for bounced material.
that would complete it imo, the pool container thing.
It might be possible to strip a midi event with macros, have not tried this at all yet.

Exactly!  I don't understand why the pool lets you organize by type when it only supports audio....Even .audioloop doesn't get its own sort in the pool

Would be great to see this. Pro Tools keeps midi 'regions' (i.e. events) in the Pool, and that really helps reuse them elsewhere.

Would definitely want the option to deploy MIDI events from the pool as 'shared' events in S1, because consistency is one of the big advantages.
