Question

Hi, I bought a Presonus StudioLive 16 Series 3 recently and need a pair of headphones. It seems to me that the Beyerdynamic DT 770 PRO is overall recommended. I'll be using it for recording vocals and guitars, mainly, and mixdown in Studio One 4. I did some research and understand that the 80 Ohm and 250 Ohm is recommended for this purpose.

Does anyone know if the headphone-output has enough power to drive the 250 Ohm? I can get them used at quite a bargain, but I don't want to buy a separate headphone-amp. Or is the 80 Ohm a better choice?

250 Ohms is quite a lot. Recommended is 30 to 60 Ohms and in this range the headphone output will be loud enough. If you don't want to buy a separate headphone amplifier, 250 Ohms is a no-go.
