I'd like control of routing to outputs without having to go through channels. So it should be possible to route directly from a Dante input to any output, whilst still being able to use all analogue inputs on an RM32AI.

For each output channel, having an option of a mixbus or one of the digital channels. I can see it being useful to duplicate outputs on occasion too. Ideally this would apply to all outputs, including the masters.

It should be noted this is something the competitors devices can do. It's also essentially already implemented for AVB in the stage box mode. For my needs the stagebox mode being possible with Dante would be fine. However given what is possible with the X32 and DL32R it would be nice if Presonus upped their routing game.

To come to a conclusive answer here, it's important to note that we have an overview of how Dante implementation works with our devices and there is of course an explanation in our online manual from our downloads page of how Digital Returns on your product function.

So in this regard, being able to send a digital stream directly to an output, without enabling a digital return and routing it to that output, is not possible without a completely different fundamental change of the way the mixer was designed, ever sense the inception of classic StudioLive mixers like the StudioLive 16.0.2, 24.4.2 or 16.4.2.

Hi abrand2, I get what you're saying but I don't think you're right about it... given what I want is already possible with AVB in the new stagebox mode. I don't see why doing that with Dante should be difficult.
