Question

Currently, keyboard shortcuts, macros, and at least MCU controllers can set a channel's automation state to Read, Write, Latch, etc. However there is no way to change the automation state of an insert/device/plugin without using the mouse. Either the global Automation Mode commands should apply to the focused device, or there should be an assignable command for changing the automation state of a device.

This is driving me crazy right now, I keep losing automation in live situations because some hidden automation isn't following hotkeys.
