I have a song file with a lot of automation in it and have decided I want to take a guitar figure from the end of the song (post fade out) and place it at the front of the song prior to all other tracks. I cut and pasted the figure's waveform to the front of the song which required that I move all of the track waveforms a certain amount of time to accommodate the new intro time. I selected all of the tracks using Ctl+A and moved the files forward in time then pasted the waveform I wanted to the front of the piece. Unfortunately none of the automation in the folder tracks moved accordingly. I have both volume and mute automation on many of my folder tracks. Because the automation would not move I had to abandon the arrangement modifications. Shouldn't automation be bound to their attendant tracks to allow for these and other kinds of edits. What am I missing? There must be a way to accomplish this.
