Please double check each unit as a stand alone, make sure that both are up to date with the latest firmware located at our website:

http://www.presonus.com/products/FP10/downloads.

If they work as stand alone, it is possible that a firmware update process has changed the serials to be the same on your devices, meaning the computer will now think one single firepod is plugged in when two are actually plugged in.

To fix this, we will need to reset the serial number on one or both units at PreSonus.

To test this open the FirePod control panel and check the serial numbers, if they show as the same serial number, a firmware update has corrupted the serial numbers and the serials need to be reset.

You can also run the current FirePod to FP-10 updater to see if this resets them.

FirePod to FP-10 updater can be found below, attached to this article.

Run this firmware updater on the units separately, it is important to do this separately as it can damage your units if you do them while chained together, you will also need to do it with a Leopard Operating System ( 10.5.8 ) or a Windows XP Operating System as well.

Important note:

DO NOT UPDATE FROM FIREPOD TO FP-10 USING WINDOWS VISTA OR 7 OR MAC 10.6+

YOU MUST USE AN OLDER OS TO RUN THE UPDATE FROM FIREPOD TO FP-10.

Once you have the firmware updater run, you will need to install the FP-10 controller to use with the updated controller.
MAC and PC can both be found here:

http://www.presonus.com/products/FP10/downloads

When you run the updater, please take note of the serials that are listed so that we may see if they are in fact being shown as the same serial.

If this is the case please contact Technical Support and let them know that your FIrepod / FP-10's are listing as the same serial numbers and need to be reset.
