I've got a presonus usb96 on a MAC. I teach music lessons and classes on skype, zoom, facetime. How can I get more control of eq and levels between the presonus input and the basic preferences of any of these apps? For instance, the presonus mic comes in pretty low to zoom when I do a mic check, and if I crank the input volume on the presonus for the mic it just starts clipping/distorting even though it still sounds pretty soft in zoom.

Zoom might be adjusting the audio volume, so deselect that option and you shouldn't have to crank it. If you want to apply EQ on the front end, you've got a couple options:

1. Get a mixer, like our ARc USB mixers. EQ it on the way in.

2. Get a channel strip and EQ it on the way in.

3. Use something like the Loopback app to apply some processing across your signal on the way to Zoom.

But really, no one's expecting amazing audio on Zoom.
