Studio One v2.6.5 lags for lengthy periods when editing a track made primarily from loops. Every time a loop is moved even by the tiniest increment, Studio One appears to choke on it. I've recorded and mixed dozens of tracks before with much higher track counts, more automation, etc, and never had issues like this before. Frequently it appears to reference notes.txt files...? Any idea what might be going on here? Better yet, any thoughts on a fix? It's a workflow crusher when you have wait, sometimes upwards of 30 min to do simple tasks.

Running Studio One 2.6.5 on an iMac OSX v.10.9.5 2.5 GHz Intel Core i5 4GB DDR3 AMD Radeon graphics

Many thanks.

You may want to try rendering that loop, that is bouncing it, in place. Try selecting it and using the short cut Command-B or Ctrl-B to bounce it. Since loops will automatically time stretch when the loops have tempo information, Studio One may be processing lots of loop events to the global tempo of Studio One. Depending on your system resources, this could slow things down a bit. Rendering in place will create a new audio file on your hard drive with the global tempo information of your session. This will take the work off of your CPU.

You may also want to clear your "Cache" folder of that particular song. Studio One generates cache files as it time stretches or does other audio functions. Deleting or "Cleaning Up" you cache folder from the "Performance" window could very well help in this case as cache files accumulate.
