zero latency is almost a nessesity playing live. i find it hard to use with any lag of anykind.

I've run into this problem! Z-latency works for virtual instr but not real instruments.

Our band went to try Show for the first time last night and it's awesome, but the latency on real instruments was a show-stopper. Would love to see this added so we can finally switch from Ableton!

It's actually hard to believe that this feature is not available in the Show page... I mean, the show page and ability to play live easier using S1 was one of the reasons for me to update. Not sure if it's just overlooked or is there is some kind of engineering problem behind it, but WHAT??? It's really cool you can set your devices buffor as low as 64 and still play them heavier wav samples thanks to dual processing. How on earth should this not be possible using the enitirely new page in S1 designed just to play live using backing tracks, is beyond my understanding...

No we are not missing something and it s not on by default. I tested it myself. The low latency buffer is not being taken into account for real instruments. If you increase the dropout protection buffer to a higher level you will experience noticable latency even though the low latency buffer is activated in the audio settings.

It is beyond my understanding too that the low latency for real instruments has not been integrated in the show page.

So they rendered the whole feature of the show page useless for at least half of those people that might have been the target users for that feature.

There can`t be any kind of engineering problem to implement this. Speeking from a developers point of view and I am a software developer the mixer component in the show page must be the same module, class or library or what so ever as the mixer component in a normal song. So if it works in the mixer of a normal song it should work in the mixer of the show page. If the mixer component is not the same module presonus should review their software architecture.

So for me there are only two possible reasons for this problem.

First, they just overlooked to implement low latency for real instruments. Well, sheet happens.

or

Second, they are playing cat and mouse with the users to keep up the users excitement in looking forward to the next updates.

The first reason I could accept the second I could not.

However, Presonus team please implement low latency for real instruments as soon as possible.

By the way, the show page is a genius and well thought of feature that no other DAW has to offer and it could be a real game changer if it will be thought and implemented to the end.
