I have a Yamaha DTX700 electronic drum module that I have been able to run into Studio One 3 via the USB-Midi connection.  I am running it through Windows 10.  I can get the module to show up as a keyboard in S1 but can't figure out if it's possible to show each pad from the module to mix separately, like having separate drum tracks.  Anyone have experience with this or with other drum modules?

Hi. I use a Roland TD1-DMK kit.  The only option I have is midi over USB, so S1 sees it as a keyboard.  With my kit I use a variety of methods.  I use EZDrummer if i want that as my kit.  Or I use ImpactXT, which can also be triggered by my drum kit, to trigger samples, run a secondary kit.  All the impact pads can be rerouted to your drum pads pretty easily too.  ImactXT is a pretty powerfful MPC style instrument, but each pad can be routed to an individual channel (arrows pointing right and left at top of instrument), which can offer many options for tracking and mixing.
