Why isn’t Presonus answering????

I’ve had a problem with S1 freezing after a mixdown for months now, which costs me a few hours a week. Tried to reach out to Presonus via mail, twitter & the forum. NO ANSWERS! This is really frustrating and a huge problem in my professional life, so my question is: Presonus, why aren’t you answering?

(Btw, I used to love the software but I’m definitely thinking about switching to another DAW)

Hi.  Just an observation, but Presonus representatives are having a busy time with the new Version launch, new hardware launches, new service launches.  I am sure they have not forgotten you and will be with you very soon.  If you describe your problem with a little more detail here then other users who frequent the questions and answers section may be able to offer some advice.  Is the freeze happening once the mixdown has finished mixing? Does the same happen if you mixdown in real time or offline? Have you tried an alternative file format and sample rate or is it always the same no matter which format you choose?  Have you tried exporting to a different hard drive with similar results?  I assume you are using 4.6 Pro but that is a guess.  Not all people in the Q&A are Presonus reps, but users willing to help out ;)

Hey there, I like the positive attitude but it has been at least six months since I first contacted them about this problem. Imagine the hours lost :(

But thanks for your answer. The problem is that the freeze is always different: sometimes S1 freezes directly after bouncing, sometimes when I try to bounce a new file. Sometimes the project doesn’t freeze, but I can’t play it anymore. It also freezes after bouncing in place sometimes.

I tried bouncing in realtime which works for now, but it’s not an option since I have to do at least 16 files per week.

I’m on macOS Catalina 10.15.4 and use version 4.6.2.58729. Thanks guys!

By the way: The version you are using (4.6.2.58729) seems to be broken for several users!
I couldn't use it either (new PC Win10 64bit). Had to roll back to version 4.6.1.55987.
Unfortunately Presonus doesn't seem to believe there is an issue with the latest fix for 4.6.
However it seems as though its not only a windows problem...
