How do I limit the maximum velocity of a specific midi note (a kick drum for instance) across a song?

I do a lot of drum programming for demos, and one of the things I'm always having to do is to select all kick drums (or snares, crash cymbals, etc.) and limit their maximum velocity. Is there a simple way to do this. I THAT OTHER daw, I can select all the kicks, then use the "limit to" (a specific velocity) option. This basically cuts off all velocities for the selection in the song.

Thanks!

Jim
